Define the business result.
Know what success means: new customers, a faster release, less manual work, or a lower operating bill. Use that goal to guide the technical decisions.
OUR APPROACH
FunCove helps you reach more customers, shorten development timelines, and reduce costs by changing how your software is built. Led by Vinay Aggarwal, we combine product development with practical architecture advice.
My work has focused on opening products to more customers while reducing the effort needed to build them. A better technical approach can make a new product category possible, bring a release forward, or remove years of unnecessary work.
Before accepting a long estimate, I look at what we can reuse, which assumptions are driving the scope, and whether the architecture is making the problem harder than it needs to be.
At FunCove, that means building flexible, modular software that your team can extend and maintain. The goal is to deliver the capability your business needs with less code, less maintenance, and fewer obstacles to the next release.
You should be able to judge our work. Explore the products we’ve worked on and the case studies behind the results, then bring your own challenge to a conversation with me.
A LESSON FROM VINAY’S CAREER
A five-year program was two years in when the business cut its funding. With three years of work still planned, the project faced shutdown.
Vinay was asked to take it on and delivered it in one month with a much smaller team.
The lesson he brings to FunCove: before accepting a long roadmap as inevitable, examine the problem and look for a better path to the business outcome.
From Vinay’s account of his career before FunCove. The three years refers to the remaining project plan.
HOW WE REDUCE DEVELOPMENT & MAINTENANCE
Use the simplest architecture that serves your product. Give each module a clear job so your team can add features and integrations without reworking the whole system.
Know what success means: new customers, a faster release, less manual work, or a lower operating bill. Use that goal to guide the technical decisions.
Evaluate existing tools and capabilities before committing to custom code. Build the parts that make your product distinct.
Design modules around clear responsibilities. Make the interfaces understandable. Preserve the ability to extend or replace a part without reworking the whole system.
Explain the tradeoffs, question unnecessary scope, and flag uncertainty early. If a simpler solution serves your business, that is the recommendation we want to make.
